At the age of four, Lindsay’s destiny as an artist became apparent…it was finger painting or bust. Later, when other kids were hanging out at the local swimming pool, Lindsay and her sister Brooke were (unbeknownst to them) developing their first business plan. Lindsay was perfecting the fine art of friendship bracelets and homemade earrings while Brooke was marketing their next sidewalk sale through colorful chalk drawings on the pavement. A spark was created that developed over the next twenty years and finally – Lovensoul was born.
Armed with a B.A. in ceramics from East Carolina University and a passion for making functional art, Lindsay is now following her dream of offering funky alternatives to traditional accessories through the Lovensoul collection.
After graduating with a communications degree from Boston College, Brooke followed her strengths in developing a business and marketing plan for Lovensoul. She is also an event planner for a Boston agency where she uses the fundamentals of her early chalk-drawing-years to develop fresh marketing campaigns for her clients.
Together, the girls created Lovensoul to unite Lindsay’s gift of art with Brooke’s enthusiasm for business. They are thrilled to offer a funky alternative to the traditional purse (the Hipster) and the traditional business card holder with something fresh and personal. Each item offered by Lovensoul is designed and produced by Lindsay Kolconay.
